Summary of Key Changes

We are excited to announce several new features and improvements that enhance the user experience and expand functionality:
  1. Custom Image Gallery: Setting up virtual machines is now more intuitive with enhanced image cards displaying operating systems, and improved hardware settings detailing CPU cores and memory size. [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  2. Data Egressor Role: This new role allows users to request and automatically approve file downloads to local machines and transfers between workspaces [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  3. OS Disk Upsizing Improvement: Users can now see cost implications upfront when upsizing disks, ensuring better decision-making.[deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  4. Multiple VM Deployments: Accountable and Privileged members can deploy multiple VMs simultaneously without failures.
  5. Activity Feed Improvement: Only Accountable and Privileged members can view the activity feed, with fixed permission inconsistencies. [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  6. Virtual Machine Generalization: Accountable and Privileged members can now generalize VMs successfully.
  7. Domain Access Control Lists Error Messaging: Improved error messages for blank lines in allowlists for easier domain management. [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  8. File Transfer and Upload Enhancements: The uploader's name is now added to the container name, along with a timestamp, for better tracking. [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]
  9. Standard Member Permissions: Standard members can now copy, delete, and rename files in the Files tab. [deployement postponed to Saturday 7th, 2024]

Improvements

The introduction of Azure Compute Gallery per organization allows for better governance of VM templates, with organizational, anDREa, and workspace templates now available.

There is no impact on existing functionality. Users can continue to deploy VMs using the available templates.

Additional Note
