Week number 36, 2024
Dear users,
In the past months, we have put a lot of effort into releasing a few larger features and improvements from our roadmap. Here’s what you can expect:
We’ve made setting up virtual machines easier. This update provides a familiar experience, with improvements including:
- VM Setup: The process is now more user-friendly, making it easier to access your organization templates.
- Enhanced Image Cards: Icons now show the Operating System of each image, helping you quickly find the right OS.
- Better Hardware Settings: The hardware configuration card now includes details like CPU cores and memory size for easier setup.
This role is in addition to the
existing roles.
As a "Data Egressor," you will be able to:- Request to download files from the workspace directly to your local machine. These download requests will be automatically approved.
- Request to transfer files between workspaces. These transfer requests will also be automatically approved.
This improvement will make costs more visible during up-sizing, allowing you to see them upfront and make better decisions when upgrading disks. It will also up-size the disk attached to the virtual machine if a swap disk was performed.
Multiple VM deployments improvement
This update enables Accountable and Privileged members to deploy multiple virtual machines simultaneously without VMs failing.
Activity Feed improvement
Only Accountable and Privileged members have access to view the activity feed. Inconsistencies in the permissions have been fixed, all other user roles are not able to see the activity feed.
Virtual Machine Generalization
We've improved the system so that any user who is an Accountable or Privileged member of the workspace can now successfully generalize a virtual machine.
External access: Domain Access Control Lists (ACL) error messaging
The user inter-phase will now provide a clearer error message if you leave a new line blank in the allowlist making it easier to manage the domain allowlisting.
Adding Name of the Up-loader to Transfer and Upload of File
We are enhancing file transfers and uploads by adding the uploader’s name to the container name, along with the date and time stamp. This improvement makes it easy to identify who uploaded or transferred files, even when multiple users upload files simultaneously, ensuring better tracking and organization.
Improvements to Standard member permissions
Standard member is now able to copy, delete and rename the files in Files tab.

here.
We hope you enjoy these new features and improvements. As always, your feedback is invaluable to us.
Best,
anDREa team
