Introduction of Custom Image Templates [Week 36, 2024]

Summary of Key Changes
Previously the VM templates were stored centrally by anDREa System Subscription.
This poses the following challenges discovered over the past years.
1. Organisations cannot govern their own images (addition, modification and deletion of images)
2. anDREa is responsible for the lifecycle of the images
3. Granular access control to images was not possible

As a solution anDREa introduced Azure Compute Gallery per organisation in the organisation's own Shared Subscription.

Improvements: We've introduced Azure Compute Gallery provisioning per organisation in their Shared Subscription. Now, when creating a VM, users will see:

1. Organizational Templates - In organisation's Shared Subscription.
2. anDREa Templates - Common templates provided by anDREa.
3. Workspace Templates - Generalized VM templates per workspace

Impact on Existing Functionality: No impact on existing functionality. Users can deploy VMs based on the available templates.

Additional Note:
Each organisations Research Support should plan a migration together with anDREa support to move their existing templates from central image gallery to their own image gallery.
