DRE Community Meeting: Save the date!

On Thursday 28 September, 13:00-14:00, there will be a DRE Community Meeting. This meeting is organized by Radboudumc, UMC Utrecht and Erasmus MC, and will take place both physically at each of these locations and online. The three physical locations will be connected via Teams, and we will have a short presentation by a DRE user from each location, as well as a presentation by the interim CEO of anDREa.

The purpose of this Community Meeting is to share and discuss our user experiences with anDREa in order to improve the DRE. Because we expect a lot of attendees spread over the different locations as well as online, we will make use of Mentimeter throughout the meeting to ask for your input. There will also be someone from anDREa present physically at each location, and we plan to have an additional offline Q&A session directly after the Community Meeting (until approx. 14:30).

So save the date for the DRE Community Meeting on Thursday 28 September, 13:00-14:00/14:30!

Software installer issues solved

In our last newsletter, we announced the launch of our new Radboudumc Software Installer for the DRE (see also the instructions). Several people reported that they could not install the software installer onto their virtual machines. We discovered the cause of the issue, which unfortunately was present in most workspaces, and asked anDREa to create a fix for it. The problem should now be resolved, which means that the software installer should install without any problems when following the instructions in the link above. If you are still not able to install the software installer, please contact us via https://support.mydre.org.

New virtual machine templates on hold

In our last newsletter, we also announced the launch of several new virtual machine templates. Unfortunately, a blocking issue was found during testing of the templates and we were unable to make them available for you. We have asked anDREa to help us resolve this issue as well, and we will notify you once the new templates will be available. These templates will have the software installer pre-installed, as well as SPSS version 29 and several other standard programs. We are currently planning on creating four different templates: a Base template (with only the essentials), a Matlab template (including SPM), a Python/R template, and an Atlas.ti template. Stay tuned!
