1. Launch Chocolatey GUI. Open the GUI by choosing the Windows button on the left bottom of your screen and type GUI.
4. Select the software package you wish to install by double-clicking on the icon. In this example R will be installed. Double click on the tile R4.4.0.
5. The new window (see the image above) will show some additional information about the software package, like the version number or a description. For installing, click on 'Install' in the bottom right corner of your window.
Note: Depending on the software it might take a short while for the installation to start. The installation will work like a regular installation from a downloaded .exe or similar file.
6.1 Choose for English (Note: in this example below you will see the R version 4.2.1, the steps are the same for R4.4.0)
6.2 In the next screen, click Next
6.3 Choose for the default location (C:\Program Files\R\R-4.4.0) and click 'Next'.
6.4 Click 'Next'
6.5 Click 'Next'
6.5 Click 'Next'
6.7 Choose for the default options and click 'Next'
6.9 Wait for the installation to be ready. Choose for 'Finish'.
In the UMCG tab of the Chocolatey GUI, you can see that R4.4.0 is installed.
Open the application by choosing the Windows button on the left bottom of your screen and type 'R'.
