RadiantViewer is an application with which you can view DICOM files. It is a licensed software, although it does include a free 30-day trial. Below, we explain how to use the 30-day trial on a DRE VM.
This step is done on your own desktop.
- Visit the RadiantViewer website and download the universal installer: Radiant DICOM Viewer.
Although everyone can upload to their own workspace, these steps are recommended to be performed by an Owner as opening up ports and Run as Administrator can only be done by Owners.
- Upload the installation file to your workspace through the Files tab.
- Navigate to the tab External Access and create a new rule. More on opening ports can be found here: Opening up ports. Fill in the following details:
Rule Name
| IP Address
| Port
| Reason
|
RadiantViewer | 79.137.71.20 | 443 | Accessing RadiantViewer Trial website |
- Connect to your VM and navigate to the Z-drive.
- Copy the installation file to your desktop.
- Right click on the installation file and select Run as Administrator.
- Simply follow the steps until it asks to activate the trial license, Radiant DICOM Viewer will now try to look online. Once it realizes it cannot connect to the web, it will offer offline license activation.
- Copy the request code.
- Open Google Chrome and navigate to https://radiantviewer.com/trial.
- Paste the request code and click on Get your activation code. It will generate an activation code in return.
