LINUX: issues with share RESOLVED
Issue
Linux VMs were unable to correctly interact with the share, like creating folders and files.
Resolution
Unfortunately we have found that the Linux versions right now deployed on myDRE are too divers for a script to work correctly to fix existing Linux VMs. If you have one or more Linux VMs right now that don't work, there are two options:
- Create a new Linux VM and configure it again; or,
- Submit a ticket to have your existing Linux VM(s) fixed
If you opt to have your existing VM fixed, please:
- Submit a ticket:
- Please fix <name of server(s)> for <workspace name>
- Opt for either:
- To schedule a teams meeting with Timo
- To authorize Timo to fix the mentioned servers by himself, so without direct supervision
- In all cases, Timo needs to be temporarily added to the Workspace
- timo.lubnow@mydre.org
- advanced member
The role advanced member allows Timo to fix the VM(s), but he cannot take data out the workspace without authorization; this is not needed anyway, just in case you feel it is okay to authorize Timo to fix the server(s) by himself.
Please understand that depending how many requests are coming up, it might take a bit of time.
