Yesterday, September 11, an issue was identified related to the new Image Gallery feature when trying to deploy a Virtual Machine. Below is a summary of what happened.
What Happened
When users try to add a Virtual Machine, an error shows up saying "the shared subscription can't be found". This means it can't load customer templates.
Why
It seems the problem is related to the new Image Gallery feature. It might be a permission issue.
Updates on the Process
We’re investigating and testing a possible fix.
Workaround (before resolution)
Instead of a workaround, you can still deploy a Virtual Machine the same way you did before the new feature was added. When adding a new Virtual Machine, in the anDREa Templates, choose the image from your organization that you want to deploy.
Resolution
The issue was caused by a case sensitivity problem. Microsoft made a change where things can be stored in uppercase, but queries only worked in lowercase. We've now ensured that on production, everything is consistently handled in lowercase.
