Microsoft Industry Circle Event about anDREa
On Tuesday January 18th, Microsoft West Europe organized a large webinar event about enabling collaborative research in the Microsoft Azure cloud. This event highlighted the services of anDREa with an introduction by our CEO Theo Koster, followed by a use case story by UMC Utrecht researcher Matthew Grant. Edward Robinson, Customer Success Specialist of anDREa B.V., demonstrated the principal investigator view of the myDRE platform, while Robert Veen (program manager Research Suite at Erasmus MC) highlighted the benefits of using anDREa on an organizational level. This resulted in an hour-and-a-half long web event, which was attended by over 250 attendees from over 100 different organizations in Europe.
Together with this webinar, anDREa also launched their whitepaper in collaboration with Microsoft, which can be downloaded here:

Integrating Microsoft Teams with myDRE workspaces
Workspaces give you access to compute, storage and many other Azure services to collaborate on data. But not all of these aspects have to be done on a Virtual Machine. Especially tasks that are not that compute-reliant and are not privacy sensitive can easily be done in collaboration outside the myDRE environment. For instance, collaborating on a manuscript for publication. A great idea from our community suggested how you can integrate Microsoft Teams with the myDRE workspaces. Therefore, at anDREa, we made a short video on how to accomplish this in a research project scenario.
If you have any ideas on similar integrations or have ideas in general, please post it on our Community page!
